Mini makeup Collection: Foundations

Hey guys! So I have done 2 mini makeup collections now, one on bronzers/contour products and one on concealers, Today I am going to do a post on my foundations. I don't really have a lot of foundations, but I have enough to make a post, I own 3 foundations, and then 2 bb creams. I wear foundation most days when I am wearing makeup as it evens out my skin and gives me a more even complexion. To apply my foundation I either use the Real Techniques Expert face brush which is £10 in boots, it is a really good brush to apply foundation with, or my beauty blender. So I just pump 1-2 squirts of foundation onto my hand and then dot it on my face and buff it in. Anyway, these are the foundations I own!

The first foundation is the Rimmel London Match Perfection foundation, this costs £7, and I have it in the lightest shade which is probably a bit too light for me but it is a really good foundation. It has a light to medium coverage but you could build it up as it is really blendable. This is a nice foundation for everyday and was actually the first drugstore one i think i ever bought.

The second one is the L'Oreal True match foundation, this is £10 so a little bit more pricy for the drugstore but still a really good price! I use to wear this one everyday, but I think its a bit too pink toned for me so I need to pick up a new shade again! This foundation is a light to medium coverage and is really natural for everyday. I have myn in the old packaging which is a rounder bottle but they have a new bottle for this foundation now which is tall and more rectangular.

My third foundation is another L'Oreal one and this is the Infallible sculpt contouring base. This is actually designed to help your contour stay on your face longer but I just use it like a normal foundation and it is really good, It is a medium to full coverage foundation so quite thick but doesn't feel too heavy and this one lasts for a really long time too! If there was one thing I didn't like about this foundation it would just be that it can oxidize, which may not be an issue for darker skin, but for me as I'm quite pale it does not always match my neck and can look a little orange.

The fourth product is not a foundation but a bb cream. If you don't know what a bb cream it is basically a 'beauty balm' a tinted moisturizer. This one is the Maybelline Dream pure bb cream, and provides a light to medium coverage, perfect for everyday, or those days where you feel like you want to wear ' a bit less'.
This particular one is a really nice bb cream and gives a lovely finish to the skin.

My final product is the bare Minerals complexion rescue tinted hydrating gel cream. Now I know alot of people really like this, my mum gave me hers because it was too light for her but she did like the product itself. However I'm not a massive fan of this, just because it is a gel type formula and i find it sits on my face and feels sort of wet even when I set it with powder. Saying that I know it is a very popular product and does give a really nice coverage, plus it has spf30 which is great if you live in a warmer climate.

So that is my post on my Foundations/bb creams! Hopefully I'll have some more by the end of this year, I really want to try Nars sheer glow and the Makeup forever HD foundation, so if you've tried either of those let me know what you think. Hope you enjoyed this post :) Love, courts xx

ps. cheeky lil shout out to the neom candle in the background my auntie gave my mum ;)

Lancome Juicy Shaker Review!

Hey guys! Last week I entered it into a competition to win a Juicy Shaker from Lancome, never actually thinking I would win, but received an email saying I had won one! It took about a week to come, but came in a lovely pink packet with my little box and juicy shaker! I got the shade Great Fruit 154, which is a lovely bright orange.

It definitely does not come out as pigmented on the lips as it does from the bottle, but they are lip glosses so I expected it to be quite natural. It is a sheer orange/pink and looks very healthy. The juicy shakers retail for £18 on Lancomes website and there is a huge range of colors for every skin tone. There is some berry colors, orange, purple, pink. Some have shimmer and some don't.

The applicator is very different to most lipsticks/lipglosses, because it is a sponge tip and you dab it onto your lips. Because of this you can make an ombre lip which i love, by just dabbing more product into the middle of the lip and softly blending it out. Overall, I really like this lip product and it looks very pretty on the lips, I would definitely buy another as the shades are gorgeous.

This blog post is quite short today, but I just wanted to do a post on this product, and I hope you guys liked it! Love, courts xx

Mini makeup collection: Bronzers/contour kits!

Hello everybody! For today's post I am going to be doing another mini makeup collection as I haven't done one in a while, and my post on concealers had quite a lot of views on it. This post is on my bronzers and contour products as I have quite a few. I absolutely love bronzers as they can add so much warmth to your face and give that gorgeous sun kissed glow. I have 4 bronzers, 3 powders and 1 cream. Then I have 3 contour kits.

My first bronzer is the Estee Lauder Bronze goddess which I bought on holiday in a shop that is like America's Sephora or England's Boots. I think it was about £35 but is a massive bronzer and has the most beautiful packaging. I bought mine in 03 medium deep because I wanted a darker bronzer. It is a very warm toned bronzer and does have quite a few orange tones in but if blended properly can look very pretty.

The second one is the Bourjous Delice de Poudre Bronzing powder. This is a chocolate smelling bronzer with the tiniest gold specks in, quite warm toned again but this one is very natural looking. I think this is about £7 which is an amazing price for a bronzer.

The third one is my Mac mineralise skinfinish natural in medium deep. Now I love this bronzer! It is baked, and gives a lovely finish and warmth to the skin. I think this bronzer retails for about £25 but is Mac so it is gonna be a bit pricier.

My final bronzer is the Bourjous Bronzing primer. This is a cream/gel bronzer and can be used as a primer or on top of foundation. It is very creamy and easy to blend so gives a gorgeous sunkissed glow. I think this is about £9 but I might be wrong, however is so worth the money!

Then I have my L'Oreal infallible sculpt contouring palette. I did put this in my blog a few posts back so if you want a more in depth review you can look there. This little palette has a contour + powder in it and they are both cream to powder finishes. This is £7 and I love it, the color is my favorite thing because it has a perfect mix of warm and cool tones.

The second contour kit is the Sleek Contour kit. This is a little kit, again with a contour + highlight, the contour powder is a lovely natural brown perfect for sculpting cheekbones and then a shimmery highlight which is very pretty. I think this is about £5 which is so good! If you don't have a sleek in your boots or Superdrug however the Seventeen contour kit is also amazing.

My final contour kit is this Anastasia Beverly Hills cream contour kit. This is one of the older ones, and I would really like to try the powder version or the newer version of the contour kit as it has cooler shades in. This has 6 colours in, all cream, my favourites are banana, vanilla and cinnamon.

So that is all my bronzers/contour products, I hope you guys enjoyed this blog post and let me know what other mini makeup collections you would like to see. Maybe a foundations or lipstick post? Love, courts xx

L'Oreal Infallible sculpt range

So this week I decided to pick some of the new L'Oreal Infallible sculpt range as I have had my eye on it for a while and it was 3 for 2 so I thought I would do a review for you guys!

The first thing I bought was the Infallible sculpt contouring base, which is a foundation designed to help your contour to stick to your face, I didn't notice that my contour powder stuck to my face more than usual, but I did really like this foundation. It is a medium coverage but you can build it up, or apply a small amount for a light coverage.

Then I got the Infallible sculpt contour kit. In this kit there is a contour and highlight product, plus a little sheet to show you where to contour if you are not sure. I don't own anything like this. It is a cream to powder formula so when you apply it it is a cream but then once you blend it, it blends beautifully into a soft powder. I really liked this because of the formula of the product and it is the perfect shade. I find a lot of contour shades and bronzers are very warm toned, and can come up orange on my skin. I have very pale skin so this is the perfect mix of warm and cool tones.

The final thing I got in the 3 for 2 is the Blush Sculpt trio contouring blush in 101 soft sand ambre. You get 3 shades in this, a shimmery pink, a natural coral/orange and then a highlight. I picked this shade because I personally like quite natural blushes as again I don't want anything too strong on my pale skin. I really like this blush/highlight. I wasn't too sure about the blush but I just mix them together and it creates a beautiful sheen on the cheeks.

So that is everything I bought! I am overall very impressed with this range, I especially like the contour kit, however the other two are brilliant too. If there was anything that I thought needed improving, it would just be the range of foundation shades as there are only two shades available - light/medium or medium/dark. Definitely go and have a look at this range in Superdrug if your like contouring.  Love, Courts xx

Lush Haul!

Hey guys! So I recently got some new stuff from lush, 3 things from their Easter range and then one thing from the permanent range, and I thought I would show you what I got.

So first off My auntie went shopping in Manchester and she got me the Bunch of carrots and the ladybird, which I am in love with! In the bunch of carrots, you get 3 carrots - a pink one, a purple one and an orange one (obviously). These smell like lemon and grapefruit, and they are reusable bubble bars so you just hold the carrot under the bath for a few minutes and you get a ton of bubbles!

Then there is the ladybird bubble bar, which is a purple and red bubble bar, so you crumble this one under the running tap and again this is gorgeous! I believe these are both limited edition for Easter though so make sure to pick them up quickly.  This has a floral scent with Peppermint and geranium oil.

Then I went to Manchester myself and picked up my all time favorite lush product - the comforter. This is a bubble bar again, and retails for £4.95 so it is slightly pricey but if you are a lush fanatic like myself, then definitely try this one out, plus you get 4-5 uses out of the bar. It also smells like berries and vanilla sooo.. ( it has blackcurrant and Bergamot scents).

Finally my mum got me the Golden Egg! I have seen this a few times on Lush's Instagram page and It looks sooo beautiful! It is a golden glittery ( and I mean really glittery) egg. This is a bath bomb/melt and has a toffee scent with Colombian cocoa butter. Just make sure you clean the bath after you use this one haha.

So that is my Lush Haul guys! Hope you enjoyed, I worked really hard on this post and if you would like to see a demo when I do use them or what my bath looks like, let me know xx

Morphe Palettes

Hey guys. For today's post I have a review/first impressions on 2 Morphe palettes - 35W and 35N.
I got these last week from Beautybay, and cost £15.95 each. When they first came I was impressed with packaging, they come in a black box and the palettes are in a black sleek matte casing. When you open the palettes there is a range of shades, in 35w (warm) there is some beiges and nudes, but also some dark purple some matte some shimmer. In 35n (natural) they are all matte shades, with some beige and natural browns with a few pinks and purples. I like the top row, and bottom left in 35n. All of the eye shadows are similar to makeup geek size if you've seen those before, and are very buttery pigmented eye shadows. They also feel really smooth and are easy to blend on the eyes.

This is the 35W. It comes with a mix of mattes and shimmers, I especially like the golden, and copper glittery shades and the natural highlight colours at the top, which are great for the brow bone. The colours are all really pigmented too and creamy. There is 35 shades too, so they work out about £0.45p too which is a amazing price. I would recommend this palette to anyone.

This is the 35N. All of these eye shadows are matte but natural too, I used some of the warm toned oranges and browns through my crease and matte vanilla shades on my lid and it creates a natural soft look. I think this is nice for everyday natural eye shadow if you like matte and has a few pops of colour if you wanted to try something different too.

Overall I really like these eyeshadow palettes, and definitely think they are worth the money if you want some nice palettes! love courts xx

Favourite Primers

Hey guys! So for todays post I have some of my favourite primers for you, a few are myn and a few are my mums that I have tried out, but still love, they are all reasonably priced, and I have 3 drugstore and one high end. So the first one is the Nivea post balm shave, which is actually a after shave gel type formula but I use as a primer as I saw Kathleen Lights using it, it contains Glycerine which helps your makeup stick to your face and only costs £3.50. It also feels really hydrating so is great for dry skin. The next primer is a smashbox photo finish primer. This is a silicone based primer and mattifying on the skin but photographs well. I think this primer would be good for more mature skin and people with larger pores or oily skin. It retails for £25.

The third primer is the L'Oreal Lumi Magique £10. I love this primer, It is a glowy pearly primer, and it gives a beautiful dewy healthy finish to the skin. You could use this under foundation for a lovely glow or by itself if you wanted your skin to look more luminous. I feel like this could be a good dupe for Mac strobe cream which I've never tried but is a similar type of product, and is £15 cheaper so a definite difference! Packaging is also gorgeous, it is a long white tube with rose gold lettering and feels expensive when you're holding it too.
The final primer is Maybelline Baby Skin primer - a silicone based primer too, which I have used everyday for close to a year now and is brilliant. It is a pore minimizing primer which it definitely does. At first I didn't like this primer as I used it all over my face but made my makeup slightly cakey so I find the best way to use this is under my eyes as I get quite large pores there and makes my concealer go on flawlessly and also my nose area where I think most people get pores. This is also a good dupe for benefit Porefessional which a lot of people have compared and there is not really much difference and both make skin much more smoother. This retails for £8.

So that was my post on Primers! hope you guys enjoy and I have a new blog post on Friday xx

Mini makeup collection: Concealers

Hey guys, so for today's blog post I am going to be doing a mini makeup collection: concealers. I've seen quite a few of these on Youtube, and it is basically a smaller more in depth video/post about some makeup product, like eyeshadow palettes, concealers, foundation e.t.c  Today I am going to be doing concealers, 5 are my own and 2 are my mums but I use them, and they are both good.

  • The first one is the Maybelline fit me concealer in the shade 15 - £6 I do like this concealer, its a light creamy consistency, however I don't use this under my eyes as I have sensitive skin and I find this makes me itchy and sore and burns under my eyes but I like this as an eye base or for spots.
  • Maybelline Eraser eye concealer - £8 this has a different applicator than most concealers, its like a sponge but works really well actually. I use this under my eyes but it is slightly too dark for me even though it is the lightest shade but still a good concealer!
  • Collection lasting perfection concealer - £4.19 This concealer is great for the price, really full coverage and they do a really light shade which is great for pale people like me! Overall I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
  • Nars Radiant creamy concealer - £22 Best concealer ever!! I love this concealer so much. I picked it up mid 2015 and have been using it ever since, I am in the shade vanilla and I think one of the best things is they do a shade for every skin tone, Chantilly is the lightest and is almost white its so pale, and then cacao a dark brown. It is very thick and high coverage but can be a little cakey so make sure to set with a translucent powder.
  • Rimmel wake me up concealer - £5.50 This is a medium coverage concealer pretty good for the drugstore and blends well so is great for an everyday concealer.
  • L'Oreal Lumi Magique - £8.50 I love this as a highlighter, its pretty light and very light coverage but is lovely for highlighting the face.
  • Finally Urban Decay naked skin concealer - £17.50 This is my mums, but is too light for her so I've been using it. It is a medium to full coverage and when blended out with ring finger, or a sponge gives lovely full coverage.
So that is my post about concealers, I hope you guys like it! If you would like another mini makeup collection let me know what products you would like to see! bye guys xx

Makeup Collection 2016

So today I have something a little more exciting and fun to kick the week off, and it is my makeup collection! I store my makeup in a acrylic beauty organizer which I got in Home Bargains for only £5, which I only purchased last week so you should still be able to pick it up if you would like one. It is pretty big and I store most of my makeup in it that I use on a daily basis so I would definitely say it was worth the money compared to some on amazon and muji which are about £20-25 each. Im going to chat about some of my favourite products and tell you which I don't use as much.

So as you can see I have the acrylic storage which has all my makeup in and then next to that I have a White Skurar Pot from Ikea which I just keep all of my makeup brushes in which are mostly real techniques, If you would like me to do a more in depth post on them I can do that, but I mainly have the core collection, Nic's Picks, Expert face brush which I love, and a few from amazon. So as you can see I keep lipsticks in the front section, and then my bronzer, foundations, primer and eyelash curlers behind there. Then I have my eyeshadow palettes at the back, next to that I have concealers and a few mascaras and lip butters. Then at the left I keep my contour kit from sleek, a powder and a few highlighters. Towards the front I just have a few bronzers, blushers and highlighters.

So at the front of  my organizer I have 5 lipsticks, A mac lipstick in the shade 'coral bliss', a deluxe mini posietint from benefit, A L'Oreal lipstick in eva's nude, and 3 rimmel kate moss lipsticks - 16, 08 and 107. Behind that I have a benebalm from benefit, a Revlon lip butter in juicy papaya, and 3 Maybelline baby lips - berry bomb, cool mint and cherry me, I did have a few more but these are my favourites. Then I have a mini Clinique lipstick in cherry pop which is gorgeous, and at the end I just have a Maybelline colour tattoo in pink gold. Behind those I have 3 foundations - rimmel match perfection, Clinique foundation and L'Oreal true match. Then I just have my Maybelline baby skin primer, Estee Lauder bronze goddess and my eyelash curlers. At the back I have 2 makeup revolution palettes flawless and flawless matte. Then I just have a sleek I-divine palette which is gorgeous and a sleek 'dancing till dusk' eye and cheek palette with my collection brow kit at the bottom.

On the right side Theres 4 little compartments where I just keep some mascaras and concealers. So I have benefit roller lash which is my favourite mascara, a rimmel argan oil mascara, a few random eye pencils from urban decay and rimmel and then a Clinique mini mascara and a mini no7 mascara. Then I have my concealers - a collection lasting perfection, a rimmel wake me up, Maybelline fit me and eraser eye and then my nars radiant creamy concealer which I love. I then just have a mua luxe liquid lipstick which I don't like but I keep there anyway and a rimmel lip butter With a collection matte lip cream. Towards the left I keep a sleek contour kit, my rimmel powder and two mua highlighters.

Finally in the front left section I have a bourjous bronzer, a beauty uk baked blush and then a little sample of eyeshadows from urban decay which are gorgeous. Then I just have a bourjous bronzing primer too which is lovely in the summer, I use this on my cheekbones to give a bronzy glow, and a little no7 eyeshadow which is tucked away. Finally I have a I heart makeup highlighter which is beautiful its supposed to be a blush but I use it as a highlighter and it is like a light shimmery pink, my mac msf in soft and gentle, a sleek blush in rose gold and my nars blush in orgasm.

So that Is all my makeup guys! I feel like it is a nice amount, this year I would like to purchase a few more mac lipsticks and foundation but apart from that I am quite happy with my collection. See you in my next blog guys! xx

* I have sorted out my blog schedule too guys, and I have 3 a week for you - Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I think I will have 2 beauty ones and then a lifestyle xx
